After several years of browsing
magazine after magazine looking
for ideas for my next bike, the time had finally
come. I decided to pay a visit to Goone Cycles
located in Alfred, Ontario. I had seen several
of the owner Alain “Goone” Laliberté’s projects in various publications and a friend of mine
recommended him citing the professionalism
of his work. After a long conversation with Alain
“Goone” Laliberté, I was determined to embark
on my venture. The bike in question was a
gift that I had decided to offer myself for my
50th birthday.
We first contacted Rolling Thunder to get a
hold of one of their drop-seat Softail frames
built with a single radius down-tube and wide
enough to hold a 250 mm rear tire. Perse forks
were then installed using Accutronics Tribal
triple trees and tires were mounted onto RC ...
Z-Rod
Since its first introduction to the world, the Harley-Davidson® V-Rod immediately seized our attention. Its power and technology separated
it from all other Harleys and blended in very well with our avant-garde style. Indeed our initial product development work was geared
towards the V-Rod and today we offer a full range of custom parts to help personalize these awesome machines.
Our first V-Rod project included the addition of a single sided swing-arm to support a massive
360 mm wide rear tire and wheel. The effect was mind-blowing. That was followed
by a series of models (of single sided swing-arms) for different tire widths.
After building a few other successful products for this Harley model we
put together a more race inspired, aggressive looking V-Rod in
order to acknowledge our secret love for sport bikes,
thus in 2006 we gave birth to the “Bad-Rod”. When
Harley-Davidson® unveiled its new model from

Unconventional, non-standard and
unusual, that is what represents
Roquechop Design’s vision. Undeniably,
all that for whom “rebellious” is not
only a word but also a way of life, RCD
welcomes you.
Philip Roquebrune, the owner of RCD,
was born into a “biker” family. Jim,
Philip’s father, still works today as a
proud mechanic. It is difficult to imagine
that the passion for bikes took some
time to settle in for Philip. In fact, his
passion started as a result of a long
electromechanical training program
that combined machining, welding,
electronics, hydraulics and more. This
training primarily gave him a good
start in creating, modifying or repairing
just about anything. Moreover, being a
perfectionist by nature, Philip was
never satisfied with products known as
“bolt on” and that itself gave him little
choice but to begin manufacturing his
own custom parts.
